Every day, Versiti Organ and Tissue works with donor families, local hospitals and transplant centers across the country to facilitate these gifts and save lives.
In 2018, Nykia Julien’s heart was beginning to fail. Eventually, doctors told her she would not have much longer to live without a new heart.
Versiti Organ and Tissue is excited to host its inaugural Impact Summit, which aims to provide further education and engagement for hospital partners and staff who engage with organ and tissue donor families.
Impact Summit is partially funded by a grant provided by Donate Life Wisconsin.

Join us that evening for the 2024 DoNation Awards Ceremony, which recognizes hospitals, workplaces and community partners who raise awareness of organ and tissue donation.

Prior to attending the summit, attendees are encouraged to take the free Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) self-assessment, which includes a 30-minute coaching session and personalized action plan with a certified IDI coach.

In 2018, Racheal Taylor’s son Dylan unexpectedly passed away at the young age of 24. Though devastated by his passing, Racheal made the courageous decision to donate his organs. Nykia Julien received his heart, giving her a new lease on life.
