VBRI’s Histology core is led by an experienced, board-certified histologist who operates a fully equipped histology laboratory. The core provides start-to-end services related to the processing, embedding, microtomy and staining of biospecimens. This includes specialized applications such as CryoJane tape transfer and special staining procedures. Users are highly encouraged to consult with the core staff regarding fixation procedures prior to collecting specimens.

To access Histology core services via the iLabs platform, choose “Request Services” and “Histology.” Core staff will develop a specific plan with the user.
