Protein
The Protein Chemistry laboratory provides custom peptide synthesis and purification using natural and non-natural amino acids, and has extensive expertise with modifications such as biotinylation, fluorescent labeling, conjugation to carrier proteins, cyclization, and characterization by mass spectroscopy. The Core maintains HPLC and FPLC chromatography equipment, an automated protein separation and detection system, instruments for nanoparticle characterization, and an automated pipetting system for use in protein crystallography. Users are encouraged to consult staff for experimental design and various aspects of protein purification and analysis.

AKTA Pure M
ÄKTA pure is a flexible and intuitive chromatography system for fast purification of proteins, peptides and nucleic acids from microgram levels to tens of grams of target product. ÄKTA pure chromatography system is a reliable system where hardware and UNICORN software are designed to work together with columns and chromatography resins to meet purification challenges. ÄKTA pure 25 has a flow rate of up to 25 mL/min.

Agilent 1200 chromatography system with Quat pump, UV detector, FLD detector, autosampler, fraction collector, column heater, computer controlled with ChemStation software.
Jess – ProteinSimple

NanoSight
The NanoSight Pro measures nanoscale particles in the range of 10 nm - 1000 nm, including low scattering and biological particles. Particle-by-particle analysis assures high resolution size and concentration data with visual confirmation. In addition to light scatter, fluorescence signals can be detected from fluorescently tagged biologics or synthetic particles providing even greater insight into your sample.
