Based in Columbus, Versiti Blood Center of Ohio provides blood, blood products, and specialty laboratory services to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, a leading hospital system with a nationally recognized hematology division, the Midwest’s largest cancer hospital, and the only academic medical center in the region. The health system uses more than 60,000 life-saving units of blood products annually.

There is no substitute for blood, organs, tissue, or bone marrow. They are precious. They are perishable. And the need for them is vital.

Any one of us might need a transfusion, at any time. We rely on one another to meet that need. But on the other side of that common vulnerability, there is uncommon strength. As a partnership of blood centers, we're far stronger together than we are alone.

Versiti leadership

Versiti Blood Center of Ohio joins four other blood centers in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, as well as the Blood Research Institute, which offers biomedical research innovation to improve blood health. Versiti is the fifth largest blood provider in the country and serves more than 200 hospitals.
