Lions fans are making a difference with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan. As a proud partner of the Detroit Lions, we engage fans and communities to donate for their neighbors.

Together, we host the One Pride Blood Drive at Ford Field, inviting blood donors to give blood for a behind-the-scenes fan experience. Versiti and the Detroit Lions make an impact for Michigan patients.

As a Versiti partner, the Lions not only change lives in their communities today but are doing their part to shape the futures of Michigan’s student athletes. This year, we are inviting high school football teams from across Michigan take part in the Lions for Life Leadership Challenge.

This new challenge, which encourages student athletes to host local blood drives between Memorial Day and Labor Day, gives young leaders the opportunity to step up and make a difference both on and off the field. Versiti and the Lions present the five winning teams with a $1,000 sports equipment grant, not to mention free publicity.

By empowering these young leaders to adopt a heart of service, participating schools also respond to the dire need for blood donations — a need that is even more critical during the summer months, when donation levels drop by nearly 20%. The units collected during the Lions for Life Leadership Challenge support Versiti partner hospitals in Michigan, connecting countless patients in need to lifesaving care.
