Laloni Stribling

"It’s like God giving us a second chance. We’re grateful and blessed that Laloni is living on."

Laloni Stribling

“I always wanted to have a girl,” Tricee Chapman says. “I had my boys first, so when I found out I was pregnant with twins and found out they were girls, I was overjoyed. I was finally getting my daughters.”

After carrying her twins for 35 weeks, followed by several more in the hospital post-delivery, Tricee delighted in finally having her little girls home. But sadly, 5 months and 28 days after they were born, tragedy struck: one twin, Laloni, passed away from SIDS. Despite her grief, Tricee made the courageous decision to donate Laloni’s tissues to heal others.

“She’s living on, and I’m glad about that,” Tricee says. “Even though my daughter is not here physically, she is inside of someone else and she’s living. A part of her is still here.”

Now, Tricee encourages others to join the organ and tissue donor registry and give the gift of life. “It’s like God giving us a second chance,” she says. “We’re grateful and blessed that Laloni is living on.”

Every 10 minutes, someone is added to the organ transplant waiting list.

Approximately 113,000 men, women, and children are waiting for life-saving organ transplants. One organ donor has the power to save up to eight lives and change the outcomes of someone’s world forever by giving them a second chance. Additionally, tissue donation can save and improve the lives of up to 75 people with their gifts. You can make a huge impact by registering as an organ and tissue donor.
