Austin Mooney

Austin Mooney

Austin Mooney was born with a congenital heart defect and received a heart and double-lung transplant at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in June 2020. Complications kept Austin in the hospital for nearly half a year, and the blood he received during his stay was critical to his survival. Now, Austin, his family and his friends encourage everyone to donate blood.

In 2021, Austin teamed up with Versiti Blood Center of Ohio to host the Austin Mooney Celebration of Life Blood Drive, named in Austin’s honor for the incredible fight and perseverance he has shown throughout his life.
