Ohio State Wins the 2025 Blood Battle — and Helps Save Thousands of Lives
The Ohio State University has claimed its fourth consecutive Blood Battle victory, collecting 1,725 units of blood and surpassing Michigan by 103 pints. Over 52 blood drives held across campus, Buckeyes and central Ohio residents came together to support local patients and strengthen the community’s blood supply.
Together, donations from both universities hold the potential to save up to 10,000 lives. All blood collected through Ohio State’s partnership with Versiti stays local to central Ohio, supporting patients at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, including individuals facing cancer, traumatic injuries, transplants, and blood diseases.
Thank you to every donor and volunteer who made this year’s Blood Battle a success. Your commitment ensures lifesaving blood is available when patients need it most.
