Colts and Versiti Bring 26th Annual Blood Drive to the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center on Dec. 20

Exclusive Colts Practice Facility Experience for Bleed Blue Donors

Versiti Blood Center of Indiana, in proud collaboration with the Indianapolis Colts, announce the 26th Annual Bleed Blue Blood Drive. The community-wide event returns on Sat., Dec. 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, located at 7001 W. 56th St.

Bleed Blue is more than a blood drive; it is a tradition that unites Colts Nation in service, celebration and life-saving generosity. For more than 25 years, this partnership has combined football spirit with essential community service, helping to ensure a stable blood supply for Indiana hospitals.

This year’s event gives donors an unforgettable Colts fan experience at the team’s practice facility, featuring:

  • Live Colts Update and Q&A with Colts Legend Bill Brooks and Voice of the Colts Matt Taylor (approx. 9:15 a.m.)
    • Meet & Greet/Autograph singing to follow
  • A visit from four-time NFL Mascot of the Year “Blue”
  • Appearances by the Colts Cheerleaders
  • Colts Gameday DJ, DJ GNO, spinning until 1 p.m.
  • 2006 Lombardi Trophy display

Donors will receive an exclusive, limited-edition Colts football featuring Alec Pierce, while supplies last. Additional fan-friendly giveaways, such as tickets, sideline passes, autographed items, yearbooks and more, will be available, while supplies last.

“We are excited to bring Bleed Blue to a new home for 2025, continuing our partnership with the Indianapolis Colts to celebrate the holiday season,” said Penny Schroeder, area vice president at Versiti Blood Center of Indiana. “Colts fans are famously loyal, and this event remains a powerful opportunity to rally team spirit, spread holiday cheer, and give the lifesaving gift of blood to Hoosiers in need.”

Donating blood takes about an hour. Anyone age 17 or older in good health who meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to give. Parental consent is required for donors aged 16 and under to donate blood. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes their birth date.
