Champions of Hope

Creating Hope Through Education and Action

More than 100,000 people in the United States are waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant.

For them, hope doesn’t come from chance, it comes from people who choose to act.

Champions of Hope are individuals, organizations, and advocates who support organ and tissue donation—from awareness and advocacy to care, recovery, and transplantation.

The Champions of Hope Campaign encourages workplaces and community partners to promote organ, tissue, and eye donation through education, outreach, and action. Participants plan and complete activities throughout the campaign year and track their efforts using the Champions of Hope Scorecard. Each completed activity earns points, and total points determine recognition levels at the annual Champions of Hope celebration.

Champions of Hope: Celebrating Action & Education

Honoring the People and Partnerships Advancing Organ and Tissue Donation

Each October, Versiti recognizes healthcare and community partners who make donation possible—through clinical excellence, innovation, family care, and relentless advocacy. In 2025, we honored partners at the conclusion of the HRSA DoNation Campaign. In 2026, we are excited to continue this annual celebration with our new Champions of Hope Campaign and Scorecard! Versiti’s healthcare and community partners are encouraged to promote organ, tissue, and eye donation through education, outreach and activities. Each activity earns points, and total point values determine recognition level at the annual Champions of Hope celebration.
