Lions for Life: Versiti and the Detroit Lions Host July 20th One Pride Blood Drive

Calling all Lions fans, Versiti is thrilled to partner with the Detroit Lions to host the inaugural One Pride Blood Drive on Saturday, July 20! Taking place at Ford Field, Verisiti and the Lions hope to welcome more than 250 donors, potentially saving up to 750 Michiganders in need of lifesaving blood.

As a token of gratitude, all attempting donors will receive an exclusive, limited-edition One Pride Blood Drive t-shirt. They will also have a chance to walk to the field and enjoy an appearance from Lions mascot Roary, the Lions cheerleaders, and a surprise Lions legend.

"We are thrilled to partner with the Detroit Lions to present the inaugural One Pride Blood Drive this summer," said Kristin Brenner, area vice president and senior director of blood operations at Versiti. "The blood supply is critically low right now, but we know that Lions fans are as loyal as they come. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to not only showcase their team spirit but also provide a lifesaving gift to patients in their local communities."

Donating blood takes about an hour. Anyone aged 17 or older who is in good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to give. Parental consent is required for donors aged 16 to donate blood. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes their birth date.
