Lions fans can get a rare opportunity to meet a surprise Lions legend; Detroit Lions’ favorite, fun-loving lion and mascot, Roary; see a performance by the Detroit Lions Cheerleaders, walk Ford Field and save the lives of local hospital patients’ by donating blood during this season of giving.
Versiti Blood Center of Michigan has once again partnered with the Detroit Lions to host the One Pride Blood Drive at Ford Field on Saturday, December 28. During the holidays the blood supply is at a critical low point, so local hospitals and their patients are looking to the community for help. Versiti and the Lions hope to welcome more than 250 donors, which potentially could save up to 750 Michiganders in need of lifesaving blood.
Those donors who show their Motor City pride will also receive an exclusive, limited-edition One Pride Blood Drive long-sleeved T-shirt, while supplies last. Free parking is also available for all donors.

Donating blood only takes about an hour. Anyone aged 17 or older who is in good health and meets the eligibility requirements is encouraged to give. Parental consent is required for donors aged 16 and under to donate blood. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes their birth date.
