One-day cookie giveaway sweet way to thank blood donors for rolling up their sleeve
Versiti Blood Center of Indiana and the Girl Scouts are partnering in a special way to thank blood donors and encourage more community members to share the lifesaving gift of blood donation. On March 3, unofficially known as "Thin Mint Thursday," all attempting donors at Versiti’s Indiana donor centers will receive a package of Thin Mints® cookies.
“Blood donors know that cookies are always waiting for them after they’ve done their good deed, and who wouldn’t love a Thin Mint?” said Danielle Shockey, CEO of Girl Scouts of Central Indiana. “Community service is at the core of Girl Scouts’ mission, so Thin Mint Thursday is a perfect partnership for our organization and Versiti.”
“More than a catchy name and a delicious cookie, Thin Mint Thursday conveys a sincere message of gratitude to our generous blood donors,” said Penny Schroeder, area vice president and director of donor services at Versiti. “Both Versiti and the Girl Scouts are committed to making the world a better place, and we are grateful to partner together in saving lives and helping girls thrive.”
