As a thank you for saving lives this Season of Giving, donors who donate blood at a Versiti donor center or community blood drive between December 12, 2022, and January 8, 2023, will be entered into Versiti’s Drive to Save Live Sweepstakes for a chance to win an SUV. FOUR lucky winners will receive a free car.
The holidays can be challenging for hospitalized patients and their loved ones – especially if the trend of decreased blood donations continues. Please spare a moment this season to give these families the life-changing gift of blood and hope.
Eligibility: Versiti’s 2022 Drive to Save Lives Sweepstakes is open only to legal U.S. residents of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and have reached the age of majority in their respective states of residence.

All blood types are needed, with types O-positive and O-negative most in demand. O-positive is the most common blood type, while O-negative blood is the universal type that can be received safely by all patients in emergencies when the blood type is not known.

Anyone 17 or older who is in good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Parental consent is required for 16-year-olds to donate. Appointments are preferred to ensure a quick and convenient donation, but walk-in donors are also welcome. The entire process takes about an hour. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes their birth date.
