Ralph has a strong interest in operations, specifically how organizations can use documented policies and procedures to improve outcomes. He joined Versiti Blood Research Institute (VBRI) as a consultant to help shape these policies and oversee the grants and administrative teams. In his role, he looks forward to providing a strong, sustainable support infrastructure that enables researchers to focus on advancing the frontiers of blood science and allowing VBRI to grow.

Ralph has more than 12 years of experience in research administration. Before joining the VBRI in July as the Interim Director for Research Administration, Ralph was a Senior Research Administrator at Northwestern University, where he was responsible for pre- and post-award research administration for a dynamic group of eight investigators with a large research portfolio of extramural funding that included several large program grants and an active fixed-price clinical trial program.

A lifelong learner, Ralph studied Computer Science and Spanish at UW Madison and Computer Programming and English at Northwestern University.
