Together, we host the One Pride Blood Drive at Ford Field, inviting blood donors to give blood for a behind-the-scenes fan experience. Versiti and the Detroit Lions make an impact for Michigan patients.
As a proud Versiti partner, the Detroit Lions are calling on Michigan’s student athletes to lead with heart and grit. Once again, we are inviting high school football teams from across Michigan take part in the Lions for Life Leadership Challenge.
The Lions for Life Leadership Challenge invites high school football teams across the state to host blood drives between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Teams can earn recognition and grant prizes for their leadership, determination, and commitment to saving lives — stepping up for patients when summer donations drop by nearly 20%. Versiti and the Lions present the winning teams with a $1,000 sports equipment grant, not to mention free publicity.
By empowering these young leaders to adopt a heart of service, participating schools also respond to the dire need for blood donations. The units collected during the Lions for Life Leadership Challenge support Versiti partner hospitals in Michigan, connecting countless patients in need to lifesaving care.
