The Power of Volunteering: Small Acts, Big Impact

Milwaukee — April 29, 2025

In a world often driven by metrics and deadlines, there is something quietly powerful about volunteering. It does not require fame, fortune, or power—only time, heart, and a willingness to help. Yet, the impact of volunteering can be life-changing, not only for those on the receiving end but also for those who give.

Versiti is fortunate to have a team of more than 640 volunteers across five states who support daily operations through mobile blood drives and donor centers, assist with hands-on projects, ensure blood products are delivered to hospitals, and share their expertise—making a direct impact on the lives of those served. In 2024, volunteers dedicated over 51,000 hours of their time.

As National Volunteer Appreciation Month concludes, Versiti wishes to express heartfelt gratitude for their dedication, time, and efforts. Their selfless contributions create an incredible impact, and the organization is truly fortunate to have them as part of the team.

For volunteers, giving time is not just about helping others—it's about finding purpose, building connections, and being part of something larger than oneself. It embodies empathy in action, and when enough people show up, it has the power to transform entire communities—like ours. Versiti is genuinely grateful for their ongoing support and the staff who support them.
